Cute Newborn Puppy Simulation

Adorable baby puppy. Ready for any toddler to feed and care for. My soon to be four year old is going to love this for her birthday.

★★★★☆

Different packaging than pictured

Cute toy, works fine, just disappointed in the packaging I received it in. Just less fun when you open a little box. I'm sure she'll love it though.

About Newborns Puppy

Does Newborns Puppy need batteries?

Yes — every pet in this line that moves or makes sounds runs on them. The listing page states the size and the count.

Can Newborns Puppy be washed?

Surface only: damp cloth, mild soap, dry before brushing. The motor and the sound box sit inside the body.

How is Newborns Puppy different from the rest of the Handfuls & Minis shelf?

Pets that fit in a palm, a pocket and a school bag. Within the shelf the pets differ by size and by the trick they do; the shelf page sets them side by side.

Reading furReal interactive pets by name

The name tells you most of it. Walk-a-Lots walks — clip the leash, push it along and the pup wags, barks and walks with the child. Poop-a-Lots does what it says. Feed-and-follow pets eat, then follow. Handfuls fit in one hand. Everything else is plush, sounds and a handful of reactions wrapped around a motor.

What the child does

Touches the head, offers the bowl, brushes the fur, turns the pet over. Each gesture is a motion the toy answers. A tiger roars, a kitty asks to be snuggled, a monkey clings, a panda keeps turning. Watch once and you will see the loop.

What the parent does

Buys batteries, teaches care, and settles the responsibility question for another year. These animals are gentle by design — slow, soft and quiet in sleep mode — which is why they land well at a birthday for kids who love animals more than they are ready for one.

The shelves at a glance

Big interactive pets for lap-sized play, the walking shelf for a pup on a leash, the feeding shelf for pets that eat, and the small shelf for Handfuls and My Minis. Featured across all four: dogs, a Bernedoodle, a silly hippo, a monkey. Pick the size first, the animal second, and the fun takes care of itself.
